About the Role

We’re seeking an exceptional Investor Relations (IR) Associate to support our growing funds. This is a part-time, in-person position in New York City, ideal for someone with prior experience in investor relations seeking hands-on exposure to the venture capital and fundraising ecosystem.

Current MBA students are welcome to apply during the semester.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, communications, and relationship management and will help us engage current and prospective limited partners (LPs), manage the fundraising process, and prepare investor updates.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Support

 

●  Support the capital-raise process. Help the GPs, Investment Team, and the CFO run an organized fundraise for our early-stage funds. This includes maintaining the LP target list, tracking each prospect’s stage, and owning next steps to keep the process moving.

●  Help maintain the data room. Work with the investment team to keep diligence materials current and fulfill prospective LP information requests accurately and in a timely manner

●  Material preparation. Respond to LP-specific requests with a presentation-ready standard.

 

LP Reporting & Communications

 

●  Draft investor communications. Write and edit LP updates, memos, and ad hoc reports

●  Serve as a responsive point of contact. Field LP inquiries with timely, thoughtful, well-organized responses, escalating to the GPs/CFO where appropriate.

CRM & Pipeline

 

●  Own CRM Pipeline. Maintain the investor CRM (e.g., Affinity), updating contact and commitment data, and keeping pipeline stages current.

●  Track engagement and follow-ups. Monitor interaction history and ensure timely, well-sequenced follow-up throughout the process.

●  Build automations and reporting. Use AI tools and CRM features to streamline outreach tracking, pipeline reporting, and generate periodic snapshots for the GPs.

Events & Relationship Management

 

●  Coordinate LP meetings and events. Handle scheduling, briefing materials, agendas, and logistics for LP meetings.

●  Drive follow-through. Capture notes and action items after meetings, route follow-ups, and keep commitments tracked to completion.

●  Help grow the network. Research and identify high-potential prospective LPs by expanding on existing LP relationships andthe firm’s broader network.

What We’re Looking For

●     Prior Investor Relations experience is a must. Candidates without prior IR or asset management experience will not be considered.

●     Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional work experience. Current MBA students are welcome to apply.

●     Proven ability to create“presentation-ready” materials, including memos, decks, and analyses.

●     Strong Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote skills.

●     Experience applying AI to improve key workflows and create new automations.

●     Excellent written and verbal communication and executive presence.

●     Deep interest in venture capital and startups.

●     Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments.

●     Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.

●     Other Key Areas for Consideration:

○     Familiarity with CRM tools(Affinity, HubSpot, Airtable, etc.) is a plus

○     Experience working in Fund Advisory, Capital Formation, Family Offices, or Wealth Management
