About the Role
We’re seeking an exceptional Investor Relations (IR) Associate to support our growing funds. This is a part-time, in-person position in New York City, ideal for someone with prior experience in investor relations seeking hands-on exposure to the venture capital and fundraising ecosystem. Current MBA students are welcome to apply during the semester.
This role sits at the intersection of finance, communications, and relationship management and will help us engage current and prospective limited partners (LPs), manage the fundraising process, and prepare investor updates.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage Investor Communication and Outreach: Work with GPs and the CFO to oversee the fundraising process for an early-stage venture fund, including outreach to investors and identification of high-potential prospects.
● Serve as a key point of contact for LPs, ensuring timely and thoughtful responses to inquiries and ad hoc requests.
● Materials & Analysis Support: Assist in preparing materials for current and prospective investors, including due diligence requests.
● Investor Communications: Draft and edit investor updates, reports, and related materials for LPs.
● Data & CRM Management: Maintain investor databases, track LP interactions, and ensure data accuracy.
● Events & Meetings: Support investor meetings, logistics, materials, and follow-up.
What We’re Looking For
● Prior Investor Relations experience is a must. Candidates without prior IR or asset management experience will not be considered.
● Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional work experience. Current MBA students are welcome to apply.
● Proven ability to create “presentation-ready” materials, including memos, decks, and analyses.
● Strong Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote skills.
● Excellent written and verbal communication and executive presence.
● Deep interest in venture capital and startups.
● Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments.
● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
● Other Key Areas for Consideration:
○ Familiarity with CRM tools (Affinity, HubSpot, Airtable, etc.) is a plus.
○ Experience working in Fund Advisory, Capital Formation, Family Offices, or Wealth Management
